Name's Leah. Belle is my nickname. I'm a counseling psychology major. I want to specialize in LGBTQ study and advocacy, addictions, criminal offenders, and chronic illness. I'm a Spoonie. I'm Celtic & German. I'm American. I'm Roman Catholic with too many pagan undertones - I'm probably a heretic to the grand ole Church. I still like my rosary, though. I love music; it keeps me sane.
My family means the world to me. I was raised by hippie/biker/trucker-types. I curse like a sailor, but I'm "educated." Ha. I'm a grammar nazi. I'm loyal. I try to be optimistic, but instead I'm come off as blunt, sarcastic, and cynical. I love studying the world, but tend to shy away from people on a whole because of their bias. Thus, stupid people piss me off. I've been known to sleep in my jean jacket or hoodie & sing at the top of my lungs in the car. I will Bear Dance at random. Turn off The Beatles in my presence, and you'll probably lose a limb :) I study names. I randomly speak different languages, currently Japanese. [I have my nieces and nephews doing this, too. It's hilarious.] I got married at 19 [I'm 29 now.] I'm a mother to 5-year-old b/g twins. I used to work in retail, but recently became a SAHM for the time being b/c of health issues and graduate school. I admittedly miss retail at times - it's the worst industry to be apart of EVER, but I did meet some really interesting folks. I'm involved in fandom, 'though not nearly as much as I would like to be - I'm a reader more than a writer, now. I'm a Philly gal, although I'm rather Southern at heart. I'm mental & I know it - in my defense, it seems to be genetic. I have so many books that I don't know what to do with them (besides buy more shelves.) I'm a bonafide history and anthropology geek. I like shiny things.
Current Fandoms: The Vampire Chronicles, Outlander [Diana Gabaldon], Iron Druid Chronicles, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel... I recently got into Once Upon A Time, Sleepy Hollow, & The Originals. There are other fandoms, but these I follow meticulously.
Anime/Manga Fandoms: Rurouni Kenshin, Gravitation, Naruto, Gensomaden Saiyuki, & Full Metal Alchemist; also Peacemaker, Hakuoki, Fairy Tale, Brave 10, Love Stage!!, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi...
